By Bob Arganbright Combat Handguns Dec 2007 High Noon's Need For Speed High Noon Holsters has quickly established a reputation for producing high quality practical carry holsters, such as their Need For Speed model. This is an open top strong side hip holster for cocked-and-locked carry of a Colt Government Model. It places the
pistol high on the hip with the trigger guard just above the belt, at an FBI gun butt forward angle to ease the drawing motion. The trigger guard is fully enclosed for safety and the lip of the pouch is reinforced for easy one-hand holstering of the pistol. The pouch is constructed of rough-side-out cowhide, putting the smooth side against the handgun to minimize finish wear. An adjustable tension device beside the trigger guard provides additional security. A rigid synthetic front sight tunnel provides
protection to the leather from sharp edged high visibility sights. A belt slot in the rear edge, combined with a traditional tunnel belt loop on the back, pulls the pistol tightly against one's body. The combination of the high and close-to-the-body carry position provides adequate concealment for most occasions. All edges on the Need for Speed holster are nicely
finished and double stitched for long wear. Finished in a red brown, this is an excellent holster. |
