| Dress belts are simply not substantial enough to support the weight of a holster and handgun. The thin designer-type belts commonly
sold in department stores may look nice, and do a fine job holding your pants up, but lack the strength required to adequately support the weight of a holstered weapon. To attempt to carry a handgun for any length of time on a belt not specifically designed for this purpose is a disaster waiting to happen.
High Noon Holsters® ROCK STEADY line of belts are designed to carry the weight of a handgun. Our belts are built for comfort and
action, and will retain their striking good looks through years of use.
First of all, we do not care what your current maker tells you, High Noon Holsters® belts are in a higher class than any single layer {which means one piece} or double thickness {which means two pieces} two pieces of leather sewed together gun belt. It's a very quick, inexpensive manufacturing process to make belts out of one thick piece
of leather or two pieces of leather sewed together. There is no equal to our belts!!!! It takes more time, more machines and money to make a belt out of two pieces of leather, sew and then laminate a synthetic in the middle of it like we do. The laminating press machine cost thousands to buy. Most makers won't even attempt this method, its much to advanced for them. These are the ones still making them out of a single thickness or double thickness, two pieces of leather that they sew together with no
reinforcement in the middle, whatever way its said, don't be fooled, you are reading this site , now you know better.
We use only top-quality premium grade, full-grain, vegetable-tanned steer hide, grown and vegetable tanned in the USA. Vegetable tanning involves only non-hazardous organic materials, unlike other methods that use heavy metals. The belts are individually handmade and are constructed from two pieces of 6 to 7 oz. leather.
While this makes the belts a bit thicker, it's still quite comfortable, doesn't "ride heavy" in the hips and sure doesn't look like a gun belt. A special extruded material produced exclusively for High Noon Holsters® is sewn and laminated in between the layers, which gives the belt excellent rigidity and provides the maximum support for any combination of weapon and accessories. Its takes three times as much
work to laminate, sew and then finish our belts. A belt manufactured in this way is much stronger then just one piece of thick leather or two pieces sewed together with nothing in the middle. The reinforcing layer also increases the life of the belt because it prevents the stretch, rollout, and sag you get from an all leather double thickness gun belt. High
Noon Holsters was the first in the industry to reinforce gun belts with a synthetic insert. We now have copy cats or the me too's club, as we expected, those are the makers that offer both belts, reinforced and non reinforced, hoping you order the non reinforced two piece belt which makes them more profit and is an easier manufactured item. The facts are the facts, its common sense the leather is stronger and pushes the gun up against your body with the synthetic in the middle.
The cowhide/bullhide/horsehide fibers break down unless you synthetically reinforce the belt like we do. Customers describe the feeling of our Rock Steady Belts as someone holding/pushing the gun against their body all day. Its a nice feeling. High Noon Holsters offers a synthetically reinforced two piece belt, (in other words two pieces of leather with a synthetic insert in the middle) because it's far superior then just two pieces of whatever sewed together.
The belts are stitched around the perimeter just like a fine dress belt. The stitching adds dimensional stability and adds a distinctive look. All edges are rounded, then meticulously burnished. The belt is dyed by hand and sealed to a luster that illustrates High Noon Holsters® attention to detail.. As a final touch, they are fitted with a solid cast
, brass or chrome buckle. We also went to the extra expense of a fitted solid cast, brass or chrome keeper to match. Quick-change snaps are standard which makes changing the buckle easy if desired. High Noon Holsters® belt sizes are measured from the end of the buckle to the center hole of the belt. The correct size is usually about two inches larger than your pants size. Look at it this way, it's much easier to buy the right equipment the first time and cheap is almost always too expensive and its a once in a lifetime purchase. As we stated
above, its the center of your carry system. This is cheap insurance to make sure that gun and holster combo is right there when you need it. You can't afford NOT to have a Rock Steady belt. |
